Hogle Zoo

The big family went to Hogle Zoo the day before we left.  This was exciting since my kids haven't been to the zoo in ages.  The last time was when Emma was like 2 or something.
I even rented a double stroller and it was the best $8 I ever spent. It was super hot that day and knew the kids would be tired of walking.

They loved the Merry-Go-Round!  We were first in line so they got to pick their animal.

We did the zoo train that lasted 5 minutes....but it was still fun .

Before leaving, they had fun playing with this ball that they could roll!

Honestly, by the end, I was spent.  It seriously so hot.  I don't do hot, especially pregnant.

I think we crashed the rest of the day until that evening when I was asked to take pictures of all the grandkids together for my mom.....just remember when planning, don't do a big outing like to the zoo the same day as wanting to take pictures of all the kids....just saying...

Temple Square

The kids and I wanted to hit Temple square while in UT so we went up with Jenny & Aaron for the afternoon.
We first went and did a tour at the conference center.  This place is amazing and huge.  The kids loved seeing all the fun paintings on the walls and the organ pipes!

Next we went out to Temple Square to look at the temple and took some pictures.

Next, Jenny and Aaron showed us this delicious place to eat lunch.  They had the best pizza!

Then we walked back to Temple Square and went to the visitor's center and then to the history museum and placed in the children's part of it.

It was a long day with lots of walking but it was a perfect day for it.  It was so nice to be immersed in such a beautiful place.

4th of July Reunion

We had our annual 4th of July party for my Mom's side of the family.  It's always nice to see family!
It also helps that we were able to see some of Joe's siblings there too.  I figured since we were trying to get together while in town, why not over some good food and company?  The kids LOVE their uncles and aunt on the Zimmerman side.  It was so nice to see them!

And here is our attempts at some group shots :)  Kids had way too much fun bossing them around ;)

FHE at the Gardens

The big family went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens one Monday night.  Each Monday, they had a different kind of theme for families to come and explore.  They have about 5 stations to do activities.  The kids had a great time!

They made paper rockets and then launched them.

Next, they had to kick the "cherries" into the big "pie pan"

Next was the potato sack races :)

There was also a scavenger hunt, then they passed out snow cones to the kids.  It was HOT.

Kate's favorite person in the world, Uncle Aaron.  I had to sneak this shot!
