Do you see my girls face? They were just too excited about what they found in the basement Christmas morning.
the girls have become obsessed with barbies. Especially those Disney Princesses. So they needed some place to call "home"
Well I got emailed from CSN Stores to do a review. I recieved $35 and put it towards this dollhouse. It's a Savannah Dollhouse by KidKraft. CSN was also having a killer sale in it too so i only got it for $70. That is such a great deal! This dollhouse comes with wooden furniture that fits barbies.
Shipping was really fast too for such a large item.
Christmas Eve, my husband and I got to work to put it together. it was just too simple.
All the pieces were numbered with the instructions.
All the nails/screws were specifically packaged so there would be no chance to lose them.
The whole thing took maybe 45 minutes. The material used were super high quality.
This baby will no break. It's wood. It's going no where.
And as you can tell, the girls loved it and have loved it ever since.
I love working with CSN.com. They make it all so easy.
And don't forget to enter the giveaway going on right now!
Christmas Eve, we went to Leavenworth and watched a Life Nativity then walked around the main street. the lights were wonderful.
our topless christmas tree. it was free, had one singular stick that was crocked so for our star to work we had to trim it...and then our star broke so we ended up with nothing. But it was free so no biggie.
my wonderful wood stove and milk and crumbs.
note from santa: Dear Emma & Kate, Thank you for the yummy cookies, donuts and milk. ps- I left a surprise for you downstairs under the purple blanket. It was too big to put under the tree. -Santa
Christmas morning.
My SAD attempt to make cake pops. prrrrrobbably won't make these again. Too long, too annoying...it probably didn't help they made me kind of sick after eating them...they are tainted.
the week after christmas was a bad blur. me and kids got sick with some bad chest colds. plus I got a nasty NASTY flu for a couple of days. Those two combined are horrible. Try to cough with your whole body aches. i dare you. that week, I maybe ate a couple bowls of soup.
my body took a toll from that. I look in the mirror and can see how sickly I look from it. It was nice for January to come.
Morning of Dec. 18th, we woke up to SNOW. Too much...especially for a moving day. But we were blessed with help with friends from church. We were able to load the truck in just a couple of hours.
goodbye Pasco, WA. you will be very missed. in just a 6 short months, i grew attached to my neighbors, ward, friends, the river, the antique stores, the donut shop, garage sales, day trips.
hello Cashmere. we got into the valley of Wenatchee about 2 1/2 hours later.
more snow.
were met by a wonderful group of men to help us move in.
we are excited for a new start for our family.
we are loving this small town, tucked away in the Cascade Mountains. I love hearing the trains in the background.
I love my wood stove in the living room.
I love the history of this place. I am hopeful for this place....
It's been almost a month since we moved to out new abode in the center of WA state. This would be a picture of our home. We are renting right now as we are getting this settled down with Joe's work. Once we know things will work out, then we'll probably make things more permanent with a home or something...we are definitely hoping that is the case because I am really sick of moving.
Right now, I am finally unloading the last few boxes...this is the first time I am not pregnant, or have a newborn with a move. I am excited to get a new start, a new beginning for me and my family.
I will be posting pics soon of my walls and things finally getting organized! I love having a new clean slate to work with. It is kind of overwhelming though too. You want to make it perfect, make it look cute and crafty. And I am finding that I am a perfectionist, which is really annoying. I need to just get comfortable with who I am and what I like, and not worry about what others may say....sigh...I am definitely trying to find MYSELF.
Once the walls are done, my next project is the craft room...and once that is done, I can start doing some stuff again :)
do you know what I am talking about? when you kind of let yourself just go, wear super comfy clothes, let your hair grow long so it's easily accessible for a bun, sneakers for shoes etc etc ETC.
plus, it doesn't help that it is cold outside so i want to stay inside all the time and just be lazy.
BUT
as a mom of 3, and just recently moved to a new town, I have to keep up with life.
and seeing how my husband has a very important job in a small town, people will see me and judge me.
it's just part of life.
i am now a "dentist's wife" and i feel that I should look some what presentable, right?
I mean, I can't look sloppy.
it affects my familiy and my husband.
as bad as that sounds, it's just human nature and it's very true.
so first things first is a new hair do...which is what?
I will probably kill myself for posting this pic but here's a pic of me in short hair about 3 1/2 years ago.
i should mention this what right after having Kate, thus the weirdly-shaped chest...
here's me now with long hair...
i hate getting my hair cut because I never know what will look good and managable as a mom of 3 small kids.
luckily though, I got a GC for $50 to a salon so that will take care of that.
So what do you think? Long or Short?
next is wardrobe.
that is tricky too.
i am in limbo people.
I am too old to dress "hip" and "young" but also am too young to dress "old" and "sophisticated" so I am trying to find myself again. so i am always looking for a great place for clothes for a super awesome deal.
and i have some very good news! especially those who are in UT....
