We're here!

Well I guess technically we're in our new place but it sure doesn't look like it. It is thrashed! I hate unpacking and getting everything into its proper place. It doesn't help that I have no energy either... poor Joe, he's been bustin' his rear-end getting everything essential out and set up. I can honestly say that if I didn't feel like poop all the time, i'd be right up there helping him cause I hate when I live in a pig sty. But we do love the space and we haven't had real problems with neighbors yet. So we're liking it. I'd send pics but not just yet :) And anyone wanting to get a hold of us or send us stuff, email me and I will give you our new info. I was posting it before but feel better this way incase some weirdos look on this and stalk us or something.
And we can't call long distance calls just yet so anyone living far away needs to call us if you want to talk to us :) I just can't wait till this is all resolved!!
K bye!

Stress

Ok I just need to vent a bit. My mind is full of stress. And it doesn't help when my apartment is a disaster! I hate moving!! Argh! It seriously looks like a tornado came through here. But I just don't know what to do about it. Majority of my stuff is packed away but there is always that other part of stuff that lingers behind, just laying around, waiting to be packed. The problem is that I can't pack it until last minute. Like, for example, Emma's toys. They invade the whole apartment everyday. At night, I have to go around and collect them, put them nicely into their place. Next morning, BOOM! Emma has hit again and the toys wander. It is starting to get annoying tripping on those things all day. I think i'll probably pack the majority of them anyways so they get out of the way. It seems that Emma only plays with a special few anyways. So I just want this place to look like we're moving, not just out of control messy! Come Saturday, we'll be moving all our stuff but for now, it's a waiting game. And another good thing is Joe is done finals tomorrow afternoon so he can finally help pack and take care of all his piles of papers that he has scattered through out the house. It'll be nice once we're in the other apartment and done the whole moving process. And did I mention i'm trying to do this all while feeling like I want to puke all day? yes, Morning sickness is a brick in progress. Luckily it's not as bad as with Emma but still, it can be draining. Anyone out there, think of me, think of me fondly....(I had to quote Phantom) and say a little prayer for me :)

And as always, Emma loves Peekaboo, even covered in cheesy potatoes!!

It's Poop Again!!

Well, today i'm officially 23 years old. I'm getting too old. But I had an interesting day. Right now, we're in the brink of chaos in our house from getting ready to move in a week. Solely, i'm packing our whole apartment since Joe is in finals this week. So the majority of my day was packing...so it wasn't the jolliest birthday in my history. But i'm not pity-partying! There was a Ward Christmas party tonight so I didn't have to make dinner or anything, so that was a benefit. But this is where the nights becomes comedic. We had to stop at the store on the way home for milk and other items. We parked next to a large tree, which had a large amount of black birds. We had to cross under the tree to get to the store. So as we start walking, I see this thing fall infront of my face. I continue walking and realize that my right foot is all wet, even inbetween my toes. I look down and see white and brown goop on my black shoes and on my foot. A stupid bird had pooped on my foot. It was so runny that is oozed into my toes! I was laughing, feeling like I was in some funny movie. But the laughs don't end there. 40 minutes later as we head back to our car, I was holding Emma and minding my own business when all of the sudden...yes I got whacked in the head again by the birds...Did I have some sort of target on my head? It scared me more than anything so I kind of jumped and screamed. Joe turns around, sees me and starts laughing. It's poop again! I just couldn't believe that it happened twice. Then to top it off, Joe says: "Happy Birthday Lyssa!" Ya it was just too weird, but it was pretty funny.

Expecting #2!

So some good news again! THis past week, we found out that I am pregnant with our second child! I'm about 8 weeks along and will be due July 15th. So we are excited! Since Wednesday, i've been feeling the dreaded morning sickness but i'm dealing with it much better this time around. So just thought i'd spread the word to whomever reads this. Take care!

Our Family

We were able to get a new picture of our family the other day. We actually took it a couple weeks ago but it's just taken this long to get it. I don't recommend setting appointments at 5:30 when you've got a 14 month old. We didn't get started until 6:30. So at that point, after taking a few pictures, Emma was gone. On the way home, she screamed the whole ride. And when she gets upset, she chokes, gags and eventually throws up. So did that again and again the whole time. So i'm just glad they turned out good!

Apartment Approval!

Well, we've received some great news. Saddle Ridge has finally contacted us with the results of our application. We were approved! The apartment will be available around Dec. 1st so we've now got lots to do and plan before that time...which is only like a week or 2 away. Right now, we are staying with Joe's parents for THanksgiving. Thanks to the wonderful world of email, i've been able to pass the news around about the move and our need of boxes and cleaning. So lots of people have been very helpful. We will either come home Sat. or Sun night, and then it will begin! Everything is happening so fast!! I just hope all our planning comes through and that we will be in our new place before Christmas break breaks. Well, hope to hear from anyone of ya'll soon!

Allergic Reaction

Last night, we got a scare during dinner. I had mixed pasta with several cheeses, bacon and eggs. Emma now eats what we eat and everything is pretty safe. But as she was eating her pasta, she would frequently rub her face and eyes, as all babies do around that time of day. As i'm getting her ready for bed, I notice red bumps forming all over her face, particularly around her eyes and nose. And when she'd rub her eyes, it seemed to get worse...like one of her eyes got swollen. So I grab Joe and we figure it must have been the egg in the mixture. I guess it wasn't completely cooked maybe? but anyways, I called my pediatrician, finally getting through to her and she told me to give her some benadryl. When she had trouble breathing is when we go to the ER but luckily she was fine. But that scared me! That was the first time that has happened and i'm sure glad Joe was home. It seems he always calms me down in times like that. Well, today is another fun fun day. I will probably head out to Hobby Lobby soon. But i'm hoping that the Saddle Ridge apartments will call soon so we can get a better idea of what is going on in the next couple of weeks. We might be moving to another apartment (much better deal!) But they've messed up on our application and supposedly we will be able to move in Dec. 1 but that's so soon! So hopefully i'll be able to talk to you about all our worries. WEll talk to you all later!

Emma is a finalist

At the beginning of Nov. We got a exciting email saying that Emma was one of the finalists in a recent sweepstakes with Gerber Organic Foods. What I had to do was download a picture of her and then everyday for a month input 5 upc codes from organic baby food, which I did. What happened is sometime after that, they randomly picked 50 in each category and then from there, the judges then picked 10 from each group. That's where Emma is right now. I was thinking it was only the 50 but today I read that she is one of the 10! I guess it didn't hit me till now! I'm just shocked and excited all in one. Emma is beautiful to me, of course but its good to see that others think so too!

Nov. 15th

Well, this week is crazy busy. I hosted a book club tonight and that was really fun. Jaime, Hillery, Bobbi and Jill came to discuss the book for all of 5 minutes and then we talked about everything else for the next hour and a half. So that was fun. Tomorrow i'm invited to a baby shower. Friday we are going to a surprise party for someone in the ward. Saturday, i'm hosting a baby shower for my bestest friend Jaime :) I think i'll be really fun. She's going to love it!
So Emma is becoming the turd these days. She blows up way too easy. Like she finds a pen on the ground (my bad for allowing it) and so I take it away and she immediately falls to the floor and start balking and crying. My patience is growing thin!! But then an hour later, we are playing a heavy game of peekaboo for like an hour. She is so cute!!
