Big Girl Bed!

Emma's not quite at the stage in her life where she'll sleep in a toddler bed, but it doesn't hurt for her to get used to one in her room! We found this cute little bed on Craig's List...love it!...botht the bed and mattress for only $25. I was so excited to get it. We had a normal foam twin size mattress on the floor before but I don't think she ever thought of it as a bed...only a trampoline or something. So this one, she pretends to sleep on it and cuddle up on it but she's not quite comfortable of letting go of the crib. That is fine by me. We've got a bassinet for #2 so we've got a few months to figure this thing out. But I was just glad to find something to got her excited so she'll be more inclined to try it out!...oh and I have less than 2 weeks until i'm due...is that scary to anyone else?

Raining Season And 8 Favorite THings

Well i've finally found some extra time to blog! I'm almost done the folders...i've laminated all I could with them and just waiting for one last thing so i'm not as stressed out as I was before. I've got about 3 weeks left till the baby is due so i'm starting to feel like I can breathe and take it easy. So the past week or so, it's been raining quite frequently. And Emma is so fascinated by it. Finally one afternoon, I let her play in it on our porch and she loved it!

As you can see, she had a blast! And don't you love her "cheap" crocs? I found them at the dollar store and she loves to wear them ALL the time.

AND don't let me forget, since it's been on my mind and i've been trying to get a list going but since I did get tagged for My 8 Favorite Things from Maggie, i'm doing it right NOW! (countdown style)

**8 Favorite Things**
#8. Girl's Night Out...If anyone has been reading my blog during my "8 Crazy Nights" you can probably guess why this is on my list. I have soo much fun with friends! I just love the girls that i've met down here. We all contribute our personalities and it's great how we all get along. Sadly, recently some key players in our group moved away (wha wha!!) so our group is on the mend...but i'm not worried that we'll keep the GNO spirit alive and even find some new members :)

#7. Ok, call me crazy but I love to ORGANIZE! If my "craft" room is messy or things are out of place, I get a surge of energy and get everything back in its place. Along those lines, I guess CLEANING could be under this same number. I just feel so much better when my apartment is clean. That's probably why i've been going crazy trying to get the file folder games all made up so they'll be all put together all nice and have extra time to get anything else organized before she comes!

#6. Along those lines of cleanliness comes #6, I LOVE "Clean" smells. I have 2 in particular that i'd like to elaborate on. First is TIDE with Downy Fresh Breeze. You just have to smell it to understand the yumminess of it. I love my that scent!! I probably helps motivate me to clean my clothes every once and a while :). Ok second scent is SoftSoap Pure Cashmere Body Wash. This is another one that I look forward to each shower. First of all, it smells delicious and second, it's so soft and makes me feell all warm and fuzzy...jk but those 2 are my favorite smells!

#5. Anyone who knows me, knows I love sweets/food etc etc...so # 5 is FOOD...preferably sweets: ice cream, cookies and candy (chocolate and sugar stuff). I have the biggest sweet tooth! My favorite ice cream flavor is Cherry Cordial from BYU creamery...which I miss! My favorite cookie is the Keebler, Chocolate chip cookies with Rainbow candies...pretty much M&Ms...so good! I love dark chocolate and I love gummies...ok I think that covers that!

#4. Crafting is now my #1 passion and hobby. I think i'd go insane with out it. I mainly do scrapbooking, cardmaking and any other stuff related to that. I dabbled in it in high school but became completely focused in it once Emma was born. Any examples you'd like to see, check my web album!

#3. SLEEPING...need I say more on that subject? It is so precious and valuable now that I don't take advantage as I used to...And I thank Joe the mornings that he gets up with Emma so I can SLEEP IN!! I chose a picture of Emma sleeping since that's when I can!

#2. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Where would my life be without the Gospel? I'm afraid to venture down that road. I am seriously so grateful for the Church and the impact it has had in my life. I've received so many blessings from Heavenly Father and Christ. I'll be forever in debt so i'm trying to do my best to what He wants. I love Him and Christ. I love this Church and I know without a doubt that it is THE true church on this earth. I've always just known it and can never deny it. This is a semi-testimony of me and maybe later, i'll expound on it :)

#1. Of course, speaking of blessings, MY FAMILY is #1! I have been blessed with being raised by a wonderful set of parents. They have taught me such great lessons and have been great. I love my siblings and miss them very much out here in TX. And now I have a family of my own! I am truly grateful for my husband, Joe. He's such a good husband and father. The stress that he has on his shoulders is overwhelming and he takes it all. He helps me stay sane and in reality. I love him so much. And then there is Emma. Oh what would I do without my Emma? I love her so much and can't believe she's almost 2! She's so big now! I'm already crying just talking about her. I love her silly little personality and her beautiful smile. I am SOO blessed!!

Ok phew, that's my favorite 8 in my life right now. So now i'll pass on the favor and tag Jaime Blaisdell and Jamie Smith to list their 8 favorite things!!

Update

Well I went to the doctors yesterday and everything is still right on track for July 13th. I'm not dialated at all, which I figured since i'm only 36 weeks. I'll be seeing the doctor again next Wednesday so I hope that there will be more exciting news there...I'm just kind of torn on how I feel about the baby coming. I want the baby to come out early for my sake but then at the same time, I just want her to take her time to come out. With Emma's pregnancy, being the first, I just was so bored that I wanted her to hurry and come out! With this one, now having another kid, it's opposite. So we'll just wait and see when she wants to come out. At any rate, i'm still just trying to get things done before she makes her appearance.

Sorry, I have to pictures to post. NOthing has been going on. And as I write that, I realized Father's Day was on Sunday, which I am the worst wife! I totally forgot that it was Father's Day until we left for church. I even slept in! (Well, I got the 24 stomach flu Friday NIght so I was still recuperating from that) Joe got up with Emma and studied...what a way to celebrate Father's Day! And to make things worse, he made dinner...I know, i'm pathetic! I still need to send a card to my dad...Can you say absent-minded or what?

36 weeks!

Right when you think you can't get any bigger, another week goes by! Well if I wasn't huge before, I am now and will continue to do so until she's born. But it's been an interesting week. The pregnancy has caught up with me and i'm just completely exhausted! All the stress of things I need to get done is gone. I'm now past the point of totally caring about little things. I think hearing the advice, "You need to take care of yourself and take it easy!" finally sank in. So I've just been trying to not stress myself out with little things or big things. I can only do what I can to my best ability. So we shall see how the next couple of weeks go. But I'm exactly due in a month. I'm pretty sure I've got all I need for this little one to come. I see my doctor on Monday so i'm anticipating lots of news, like how big i'm measuring, how big she is, etc.
So i'm just exhausted and can't do a whole lot anymore and poor Joe has been busting his butt studying for the boards, which he takes in 3 weeks. He's feeling overwhelmed too. But I know he will do fine and pass. It'll just be nice when that's all done in a few weeks so he won't have any big worries when the baby comes.
And then there's Emma. She's approaching 2 and she is sure acting like it! She's become the pickiest eater at dinner so that's always a struggle. To keep up from killing ourselves, we've just decided to feed her cereal for dinner since we know she'll eat that. But she's a fireball, full of energy and loves to rough house and play with Mommy and Daddy so she keeps us real busy. We love her to pieces and are excited for her to meet her little sister...and we hope she'll be excited too!

Pitter Patter of Little Feet

So from the title, it might seem that I had the baby already but no...not quite. As you can see from my checker, I have about 4 weeks to go...yet I look and feel like i'm about to BURST!!
Anyways, the pitter-pattering is still Emma. I found the coolest thing on the trampoline the other day. Emma plays with chalk outside on the porch and it gets all over her, including her feet. I found cute little foot prints on it so I had to take a picture.

Just thought that was pretty cool. Other than that, i'm still just truckin' along with coloring those file folders and trying to get energy cause i'm slowly loosing it. I'm getting really tired these days. Not good since I now feel incredibly busy with too much to do! So in the next few weeks, you'll either hear of my having a baby or a heart attack!

Bobble-Head

So we recently got a scooter from our dear friends, the Blaisdell's, who moved to Idaho :(...So we've had the helmet and gloves stored in our apartment. Emma's takin' a liking to them. So we help put it on her head and it's hilarious to see her in it.

As you can tell, it's much too big for her body. And it weighs more than her too so it's just really funny to see her try to walk and keep her balance.

We found this little trampoline in the dumpster area...I don't know why since it's in great shape so I took it and stuck it in my car. Emma loves to "jump" and "dance" on it.

And another great development is climbing. Emma has now developed a love for climbing up on things, like her changing table. So i've now had to figure out what to do so she'll understand that she can't go up there...any suggestions?

Busy busy Busy

So I think i'm going to have this baby early. Yesterday, I was so blessed as to receive a new calling. I'm now the Visiting Teaching Coordinator...for those of you who do not understand this calling, it's pretty much being in charge of everything Visiting Teaching. LIke putting together sisters into companions, meeting with new sisters and old, fixing companionships that aren't working, dealing with sisters that say they'll visit teach this month but never do it. Talking to every single sister, young and old, about their situation and life.
I think that's just a preview for what's all included with this calling. It's a very overwhelming thing to be called to such a huge calling. I'm filled with a variety of emotion: fear, anxiety, worry, fear, motivation, courage, fear. I know the Lord has called me to this position for a reason. I do not know what that is right now. But I want to be receptive to Him and the growth he wants for me. So i'm just riding the faith train and hopefully it won't be too much of a bumpy ride.
So on top of that, i've got a little over a month before this baby is due. Then sisters from the ward and I are compiling and organizing file folders to make for our kids. Then all the pictures I want all scrapped. So I think it's going to be a busy month or two. I don' t even want to think of how it'll be once #2 is here. I'll probably go into a meltdown hibernation and maybe you'll hear from me in a year or something! Well I think i'll go start on some thing to work on!z
Oh PS good news yesterday though. Emma survived the 2nd half of Nursery on her own! Joe goes in with her the first half cause, you know, he'll find any reason to miss Sunday School...but usually we have to switch off half way cause she starts crying like a banshee. But yesterday, Joe snuck out and later found out that she did distress for a little bit but then her teacher calmed her down and she was fine for the rest of the time!! So excited! I was actually able to attend Relief Society :) Ok so there are some things that are getting easier
