Mother-Daughter Night...

I was debating on whether I was going to go this year with the stake but seeing how it's my last year here and Emma would love to be outside, I decided to dip my "toes in the water" and just come for the evening.  We arrived there around 6:30 pm and left around 9:30.  We set up a "great" spot and I walked around with Emma.  We then went to the river/lake and let Emma play.  It got dark pretty fast and we were not smart and forgot a flashlight so we were bumming off of everyone else's lamps and fire holes.  Here are the pics from that night.  Since my time on Joe's computer is tight, I just have to heap them all on without commentary :)  I had good times having Mommy/Emma time.  I need to do it more often!

I will say that Emma loved the fire pits!

Good for you!! I'm glad you were able to get out like that with just Emma. I can't wait until the kids get older and they appreciate those special times out more. It's so fun to spent time like that just one on one. Emma is a little beauty!

I just loved that activity last year! It was hot and there were plenty of fire ants, but it was way fun to hang out with all the girls. Looks like you guys had a good time. What little kid doesn't just love fire?

I thought about going..but decided Sophie was just too small. After looking at your pics I think she would have had a blast! and about your Laptop maybe your laptop and my old laptop can be friends in Laptop heaven! It is sad when they finally stop working.

It was fun hanging out with you and adorable Emma. Thanks for not out-casting me even though I don't have a daughter. Also, I make my layouts in photoshop.:)

How fun. I always wanted to go to one of those campouts! Your so good taking Emma! I bet she loved it!

I'm so sad to hear about your computer too! That would be a very hard thing for me to see go. I spend way too much time on it. Maybe I would get more things done, or maybe not!

I can't get over how beautiful your little family is. Hope you have an awesome time in Utah -- I'm super jealous that you get to be there with all of the family. Oh, and I love your ode to laptop -- it reminds me of the testimony rhyme we came up with many years ago ...
